It is indeed a wonderful time to be involved with our club, whether as a coach, manager or underage player; there are many positives and none more so than the announcement this week of agreement to install an all weather training facility.
The partnership between the Vocational School, the North Sligo Sports Complex and our club to come together and have the foresight to see the mutual benefits of having such a facility in our village will undoubtedly prove to be an excellent decision for all concerned well in to the future.
Much discussion and work has already gone into this project but the truly positive attitude from those involved has ensured that this idea is very shortly to become a reality.
This project will be a huge boost to the community and will greatly enhance all existing sporting facilities in the area.
With well in excess of 250 members the provision of suitable training and playing facilities has been to the top of our priority list over the last number of years.
I am confident that with these improved training facilities more and more young boys and girls will be attracted to joining our club and taking an active part in soccer. For our existing members these facilities will make the weekly training even more enjoyable.
